We’re thrilled to announce that as of September 9, 2024, MR MIKES is officially a restaurant partner of Toonies for Tummies, a national non-profit dedicated to nourishing children in need through local school breakfast programs. By joining forces with Toonies for Tummies, MR MIKES is helping feed the 1 in 3 children across Canada at risk of starting their school day hungry.
How It Works
Toonies for Tummies, supported by the Grocery Foundation, raises funds directly through donations to support over 3,000 local student nutrition programs. With every dollar, we’re helping sustain essential breakfast programs and ensuring children in our communities have the nutrition they need to thrive.
Impact of the Partnership
Each donation stays within the community where it’s raised. This hyper-local approach means that contributions at MR MIKES locations go directly to nearby schools, bringing immediate impact to the areas we serve. To date, Toonies for Tummies has helped over 1 million children in Canada, making a lasting difference in each community.
Aligned with our values of Fammunity and Belonging, this partnership strengthens our commitment to giving back. Together, we’re creating meaningful change—one meal, one child, one community at a time.
Since the start of our partnership, MR MIKES has gathered a total of $15,011 through guest donations and other fundraising efforts. We’re grateful for the support of our guests in helping us make a difference in the lives of local children.
