Mr. Mikes Restaurants Corporation (herein known as MR MIKES) recognizes the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of your Personal Information (as defined below).  MR MIKES believes in protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how we manage your Personal Information and safeguard your privacy.

By providing Personal Information to us, you agree to the terms of this policy.  However, we are committed to continuous improvement and value your input. This policy covers our treatment of Personal Information that we collect, both through our website and through communications or interaction we may have with you (such as e-mails, telephone conversations, face-to-face or correspondence).  This policy also covers our treatment of any information shared with us by third parties. Since MR MIKES regularly reviews all of its policies and procedures, we may change this policy from time to time and such changes will be effective from the date of revision.

MEANING OF “PERSONAL INFORMATION”

“Personal Information” means personally identifiable information, including without limitation names, addresses, financial and credit information (such as provided by franchise applicants), health information and consumer preference information.

COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you provide comments to MR MIKES regarding your experience at our restaurants and franchises, use credit cards or travellers cheques to pay for meals, order MR MIKES gift cards, enter one of MR MIKES contests or promotions, sign up for MR MIKES mailing list, apply for a MR MIKES franchise, seek employment opportunities at MR MIKES, or have other interactions with MR MIKES, you may provide us with certain Personal Information related to those interactions.

MR MIKES does not and will not give, sell, rent, share or loan your Personal Information to others except with your prior permission, as disclosed in this policy, as may be permitted or required by law, or in certain cases if we engage a third party to provide services to us and the third party is bound by confidentiality obligations. MR MIKES takes reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

Personal Information will be retained in accordance with this policy only for as long as may be necessary or relevant for the purpose of collection or as may be required or permitted by law, after which time it will be destroyed or made anonymous unless you further consent to its continued retention.

We will generally notify you of the purposes of the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Information at the time of collection, unless the purpose is obvious and you voluntarily provide the information (as in the case of providing your credit card to pay for a meal) or we are required or authorized by law to do so.  Without limiting the foregoing, MR MIKES may collect, use and disclose particular types of Personal Information as follows:

CUSTOMER COMMENTS

If you voluntarily provide us with comments on your experiences at MR MIKES restaurants and franchises, we may forward Personal Information you provide to us to the relevant restaurant and franchise, and that restaurant, franchise and ourselves may use that information in order to respond to, keep a record of, administer and make known within MR MIKES and its franchises your comments or inquiries.

CONTESTS & PROMOTIONS

If you enter a MR MIKES contest or promotion, we will use any Personal Information provided in order to conduct and administer the contest or promotion in accordance with its rules.  We may also contact you regarding promotions we believe will be of interest to you.

MAILING LIST SIGN UP

If you sign up for MR MIKES mailing list, we will use any Personal Information provided by you to contact you regarding promotions, feature menus, special events or any other information we believe will be of interest to you.

JOB SEEKERS

If you apply for or make inquiries regarding employment at MR MIKES, we will use any Personal Information provided, such as your resume, in order to review and assess your application.  This may include contacting references and otherwise verifying with others information provided to us. If you become or are an employee of MR MIKES, we also have a separate privacy policy for employee information.

FRANCHISE APPLICANTS

If you apply for or make inquiries about obtaining a MR MIKES franchise, we will use any Personal Information provided in order to review and assess your candidacy and for the purposes of your business contacts and relationship with us.  This may include contacting references and conducting credit and background checks with others in accordance with your signed consent provided to us.

APP + WEB USAGE FOR ONLINE ORDERING, PAYMENTS OR REWARDS

When you use our services either through a web portal or our app for the MR MIKES Rewards program, or to order your meal for pickup or instore dining, or to make a payment for your bill or to collect or redeem Rewards or Mikebucks, we will use any Personal Information for the purpose of the intended transaction in order to confirm or communicate with you about your order, payment, or transaction activity.

WEBSITE

You can visit the MR MIKES website without registering or providing any Personal Information at all.  However, at certain portions of our website, such as the “Comments” page, Mailing List sign up, employment page and franchise page, website visitors may provide us with certain Personal Information.  Please remember that you control what Personal Information you provide to MR MIKES while visiting our website. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality or security of any e-mail communications or information sent by you to us via the website.  If you wish to send us confidential information, please notify us first to make arrangements.  

We use cookies to provide you with good user experience, tailor content and continually improve our website. For example, we can recognise and remember important information that will make it more comfortable for you to browse our website such as preferred settings

If any provision of this policy is held to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this policy will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
